What is Category?

Category is the name that represents a group of payment. You may freely name your category however you want. Please be informed that you cannot close or disable a category for technical management purposes.

Here are some examples.

For Individual Account, you may open a Category for your own personal online collection such as Big Family to collect payments for your family events or activities or Taman Maju Community to collect payments for the local community or Side Business – SimplySiti if you wish to collect payments for your side business.

For Organisation Account that are of business purposes, you may open a different category for different outlets or webpage or integration. You may also use a category for any product sales or marketing campaigns.

For Organisation Accounts that are of associations or clubs, you may open a different category for different money boxes such as Welfare Money Box or Activity Money Box as well as different units in the organisation such as Welfare Unit and Development Unit.

Help! I cannot get verified.

For users who have trouble verifying your account, this may be due to these issues:

Mismatch between identification information and bank account name when we verify your documents, your identification information and bank account name must be the same. We see this as two matching documents representing the same entity. If they do not match, this gives us the benefit of the doubt that the account may be fraudulent.

Wrong information or documentation submitted
Upon checking your information or details, we may find that you have provided wrong information; maybe in the name, address, contact detail or account number. This may be also that we cannot contact you and thus deemed your information is wrong.

Improper documentation of SSM or ISO certification Improper documentation is may be due to the document submitted to be unclear (we cannot see your information), expired (date have not renewed) and other factors

Why do I need to Get Verified?

Getting Verified is for Customer Due Diligence requirements under the Anti-Money Laundering, Countering Financing of Terrorism and Targeted Financial Sanctions for Financial Institutions, Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (AML/CFT and TFS for FIs, DNFBPs and NBFIs) outlined by Bank Negara. This is to prevent anonymous and fictitious account as well as assess the extent of money laundering and terrorism financing (ML/TF) risks posed by customers and businesses, for the development of appropriate controls and mitigation that commensurate with identified risks.

As of September 1st 2021, all new Bizappay users must verify their account within 3 days of registration to continue using the Bizappay system and services….
