Getting Verified is for Customer Due Diligence requirements under the Anti-Money Laundering, Countering Financing of Terrorism and Targeted Financial Sanctions for Financial Institutions, Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (AML/CFT and TFS for FIs, DNFBPs and NBFIs) outlined by Bank Negara.

This is to prevent anonymous and fictitious account as well as assess the extent of money laundering and terrorism financing (ML/TF) risks posed by customers and businesses, for the development of appropriate controls and mitigation that commensurate with identified risks. 

As of September 1st 2021, all new Bizappay users must verify their account within 3 days of registration to continue using the Bizappay system and services.
